Lessons From a Rogue Rooster
An object lesson into the life of Peter.
It has been a week. I won’t bore with all the details, but here’s the gist.
My faithful Corolla, who served me well for eight years, met an unfortunate end.
I tried to get a paper completed on a dense topic, while also dealing with the insurance company.
The residency for the D. Min. program starts on Monday, and until yesterday I didn’t know how I was going to get there because my rental was due back on Tuesday.
But the cherry on top, or maybe I should say the rooster on top, was accepting a free rooster for our chicken coop. (We live in a rural area.) “Roo” came to us on Tuesday night, and was returned, as quickly as possible, to his previous owners Thursday afternoon. I should note, we have chicks, they’re just not ready to go out to the chicken pen yet, and they’re certainly not ready to lay eggs or for a rooster.
Follow me on this one, it’s a long and winding tale but I’m going to connect this story to Peter.
To discover what happened with “Roo,” how I link it to Peter, and how things worked out in ways I couldn’t have imagined, consider becoming a Paid Subscriber.
Think of it like you’re buying me a monthly coffee.
