I love the suggestion Pope Leo XIV shared for Lent this year - abstain “from words that offend and hurt our neighbour” (Source). It seems pretty straightforward but I’m sure we’ll all experience some challenges with it.
I don’t often change much, it’s just a simple recognition that the Lenten season is happening. A mindfulness of what it means, and why we celebrate it.
